Sibanye-Stillwater Group has announced the appointment of Neal Froneman, the Group’s CEO, as Chairman of the World Gold Council (WGC).
The WGC was established in 1987 as the market development organisation for the gold industry. Its purpose is to stimulate and sustain demand for gold, provide industry leadership and be the global authority on the gold market. Sibanye-Stillwater has been a member of the World Gold Council since June 2016.
The management and Board of Sibanye-Stillwater extend their congratulations to Neal, proudly noting that he is the first representative from a South African gold company to be appointed to this prestigious position.
